06.13.10 New Jersey Seafood Festival, Belmar

Stopped by the Seafood Festival at Silver Lake Park in Belmar on Sunday. The three day event runs Friday through Sunday and is attended by tens of thousands of people. There was plenty of food to choose from, some activities for the kids, and a band to listen to while the attendees sampled the fare. Photo and post by Colin Archer/Agency New Jersey

Late night macro

I made this image at midnight on the Delaware River in New York using a Canon 40d with 100mm macro lens with a ring flash. The insect landed on the hood of my car, and that is where the reflection is.

The Crawfish Festival

This past Sunday I photographed the 21st Annual Michael Arnone Crawfish Festival at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta, New Jersey. Many bands played on three different stages including Marcia Ball and New Jersey’s own Railroad Earth. Lots of food, lots of people and loud music. A southern style event that is sooo Jersey.

Today, Marc and I are pleased and proud to announce the addition of our newest member Rob Yaskovic. Since ANJ’s beginning in September 2007, we have always been on the lookout for talented photographers who would like to join Agency New Jersey, and would be a good fit both professionally and personally. Rob hails from Sussex County New Jersey and has a wide range of talents and experience from his days working at his local newspaper to shooting food, portraits and weddings throughout the tri-state area. His knowledge and access to northern New Jersey will expand ANJ’s ability to provide fantastic images and stories of the people, places, and events from that area to our clients. Rob is available for all types of assignments and we look forward to sharing his work with you.

Now for the non-business intro, Rob’s a 6’4″ 260 pound pussycat, who’s a dad to three and husband to one. We had lunch with him a few times and he’s really cool. We thought he’d be a good guy to have behind us in a bar so we figured we give him a shot, besides, his photos aren’t too shabby either.

Best of luck to Rob and welcome,

Colin and Marc
